* THE BEER & WINE HYDROMETER DOES NOT COME WITH A TEST JAR We recommend purchasing a Hydrometer Test Jar since you can not use this hydrometer inside of a bottle. A tall, straight-sided graduate is required so the hydrometer can sink straight down into a sampling of the beer or wine in process. The test jar keeps the hydrometer upright and the alcohol volume readings are easily taken looking through the side of the test jar.
