Our shipping charge is based on the shipping method requested and the dollar value of your order. You will be able to review this charge during the ordering process before your order is submitted.
Orders are packaged and shipped Monday through Friday. Orders received after 3:00 pm Central Time will be shipped the following business day. There are no weekend deliveries. Wednesday orders for 3 Day Select, Thursday orders for Second Day Air, and Friday orders for Next Day Air will be delivered the following week.
Alcohol Controls has a daily pickup service from UPS but we can also ship through the Postal Service or FedEx upon request. If you have a shipping carrier preference that is not listed in our shipping options, please let us know in the “comments” section when placing your order.
Most orders are shipped from Illinois; However, some products are drop-shipped from our manufacturers and delivery times may vary from the UPS chart below.
Ground shipping may take up to 6 business days and is the least expensive shipping option. There are places in the USA that UPS will not ship 2nd Day Air or 3 Day Select from Illinois. If you choose a shipping method that cannot be fulfilled by our carriers, we will contact you to discuss the shipping options available and corresponding fees. For example, shipments to Hawaii through UPS must be shipped Next Day Air or they may be shipped Priority Mail or Next Day Air via the Postal Service.
A few of our products may have additional shipping charges over what your order confirmation states due to the package size and weight. Items that will incur an added charge will be mentioned in that product’s description on our website.
A street address is preferred over a P.O. Box so the shipment can be tracked properly. We will gladly ship through the Postal Service to a P.O. Box if no street address is available.
Canadian customers should be prepared to pay UPS a brokerage fee and any applicable GST & PST taxes imposed by the Canadian government. We do provide the shipping carrier with NAFTA documentation so import duties should not be charged. Expect 10 - 14 days for delivery since orders are originating from Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
International orders (outside the USA and Canada) will be required to provide the address of a freight forwarder located in the United States. We only ship to the USA and Canadian addresses or PO Boxes. Payments for international orders may be made with a USA-based credit card, money transfer through PayPal or a bank wire transfer.
No sales tax will be added for orders shipped out of Illinois. Orders being shipped to customers in Illinois will be taxed 8.5% on the sales tax rate.
